Description

Ponds Farmhouse is a building dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, with a significant portion constructed in the mid-19th century to the west. It has a painted brick facade and a plain tiled roof with a spiral cross-ridge. The property presents two gables to the front, with a three-window arrangement on two storeys and an attic. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, each with a drip mould above. An earlier wing is located to the right, likely from the 18th century, featuring a red brick ground floor and a tile-hung first floor, with a hipped, plain tiled roof. The rear facade, also likely of the 18th century and extending over two storeys, combines red brick and tile-hanging. The main entrance is located in the right-hand return front of the brick block, positioned at the corner with the right wing. The group value arises from the building’s contribution to the historic farmstead.
