Description
This building is a cartshed and stables, dating from the early to mid-19th century, located approximately 15 meters west of Goldhill Mill. The structure features a combination of Flemish bond red brick and weatherboarded timber framing, topped with a peg-tile roof.
The layout consists of four parallel ranges that face the courtyard to the east. The two southern ranges are constructed of brick, with the end range serving as a stable that projects further into the courtyard than the cartsheds. All sections of the building are single storey.
On the south side of the stable block, there are four bays, which include a doorway with a plank door located to the left of center and three casement windows. The front gable end features a diamond-shaped ventilation hole. Each of the three cartsheds has large doorways at the front.
Inside, the building displays plain but sturdy 19th-century carpentry details.
