Description
Forge House is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The front is built of red brick in Flemish bond, while the side elevation features red brick with some grey headers, resting on a plinth made of both brick and stone. The roof is tiled and has end brick chimneystacks. The house is two storeys high and has three windows. The central window is round-headed with impost blocks and is flanked by tripartite sash windows. There is a central round-headed doorcase, also with impost blocks, which features a six-fielded panelled door and a decorative fanlight, accessed by three stone steps. Inside, the ground floor right side rear includes an 18th-century fireplace and a china cupboard with serpentine shelves.
