Description

This is a statue of Erasmus Wilson, located to the south of the Royal Sea Bathing Hospital in Margate. It was created around 1890 and is made of bronze, depicting Erasmus Wilson (1809-1884) in an academic gown. The statue stands on a granite plinth. Erasmus Wilson is known for bequeathing the chapel and the 1883 wings to the hospital.
