Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 56 to 62 Grosvenor Place, and altered since its original construction. The buildings are three storeys high with basements and are constructed of stock brick with stone coping. Each house has two sash windows, most of which have lost their original glazing bars. Cast iron balconies are present on the first floor of all but number 58. Number 56 features a curved, three-light bow window on the ground floor. Number 58 has a later, altered curved bow window, while numbers 60 and 62 have added bays. The original area railings, with urn finials, are visible at numbers 56 and 58. Simple, round-headed doorcases are present at each house. The rear elevations are topped with slate roofs, which include dormers. The buildings are part of a group with numbers 48 to 64 Grosvenor Place.
