Description

The house is a farmhouse dating from the 16th and 18th centuries. It is timber-framed and exposed with plaster infill, with later extensions in painted brick and rubble. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The house has a lobby entry plan and two storeys, featuring small panel framing, with a continuous jetty on dragon posts. It has a hipped roof with gablets and stacks to the left, with another stack projecting at the right end. A two-storey projecting gabled porch is located at the left, originally jettied at the first floor, and a later addition extends from the main house. The windows are an irregular arrangement of sash windows, with a mullioned window to the right on the first floor, and a canted brick bay on the ground floor. A boarded door is situated within the porch. To the left is a recessed wing with a tripartite sash window on each floor. The interior includes dragon beams, evidence of earlier jettying predating the porch addition, inglenook fireplaces, and a flint and brick lined cellar.
