Description

This is an 18th-century house located on the south side of High Street, Sittingbourne. It is a large building constructed of red brick, featuring a brick parapet and a moulded wooden cornice. The house has five sash windows. The central bay projects slightly and contains a tripartite window with an elliptical tympanum containing fan ornamentation on the first floor. The ground floor has been altered to create a modern shop front. The building forms a group with numbers 23 to 45 (odd) and 49 to 81 (odd) on High Street.
