Description
Bobbing Place is a house built in the early 19th century, with an extension added in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys, with an eaves cornice and raised eaves on a hipped roof, and stacks located at both the left and right ends. The front has a regular arrangement of three windows, with tripartite sashes on either side of a central glazing bar sash. All windows are topped with blind hoods and gauged heads. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with a semi-circular traceried fanlight, which is set beneath an open pediment supported by Doric pilasters. To the left of the house is a mid-19th century extension. Adjacent to the property, extending southeast for 50 yards, is a 17th-century garden wall that stands 6 feet high and features a twice offset design in English bond red brick. There is a gateway located 15 yards from the house, which includes a wrought iron gate and an over-throw.
