Description
Lavender Bank is a building that dates back to 1722, featuring the initials I.S. and T.S. While the most visible parts of the structure are from the early 19th century, some interior elements may be older. Significant modifications occurred around 1900. The end elevations showcase original work with red brick and grey headers, and the building stands two storeys high with attics. It has four windows and three gables, two of which contain attic windows. The ground floor features one bay and casement windows with elaborate latticed panes. The main front has been refaced with cement and includes four windows, two gabled dormers with early 19th-century latticed panes, and two bays on the ground floor similar to those on the end elevations. These bays have been connected by a verandah with similar windows and gabled porches, likely added around 1900. Inside, there is a curved early 19th-century staircase.
