Description

The remains of the walls of the Archbishop's Palace are located in the back gardens of Nos 5 to 11 (odd) on Bubblestone Road in Otford. These walls date from the early 16th century and consist of ranges of stone walling that vary in height from a few inches to about 4 feet. Most of the walls run in an east-west direction, with some cross walls present. Additionally, Tudor brickwork is embedded in the northern banks of a small brook or culvert at the ends of the gardens. Much of the site remains unexcavated.
