Description
Little Combe Bank is an 18th-century building with alterations, situated on Combe Bank Road in Sundridge. The main block has a south-facing elevation of two storeys and three windows. It features a hipped slate roof with a moulded and modillioned eaves cornice. The building is constructed of yellow brick with a stone plinth. The sash windows have patterned glazing bars and are set within two-storey projecting canted bays at each side. A prostyle porch with fluted columns and a projecting moulded cornice topped with mutuled details sits centrally, leading to a part-glazed door with a patterned fanlight. Six steps lead up to the door, flanked by two small, modern windows. This is a 19th-century refacing of an earlier structure.
A rear wing, dating to the early 18th century, is two storeys high with three windows. It has a tiled gambrel roof with two flat dormers. The wing is built of random rubble with red brick dressings and retains 18th-century iron casements with leaded lights. A former outbuilding, also of similar materials and dating to the late 18th century, is now connected to the main building and has modern casements. Large 19th-century additions extend from the rear.
