Description
Nos 60, 62, and 62A St Faith's Street, which incorporates No 1 Nelson's Yard, is a range of timber-framed houses dating from the 17th century. The buildings have two-storey plastered fronts, with the first floor of No 62 overhanging on a bressummer supported by brackets on both the south and west sides. They feature tiled roofs and six gables facing Faith Street, with the westernmost gable containing an attic window. The windows are mainly casements, but there are also two sashes with intact glazing bars. Notably, William Weaver, who served as Lord Mayor of Maidstone in 1691 and 1701, lived here. The buildings also have group value with No 9 Waterside.
