Description

Forsters Cottage is a house, originally a pair of cottages, dating back to the 17th century, and possibly incorporating elements from an earlier structure. It has a 19th-century facade and was restored in the mid-to-late 20th century. The building is timber-framed and clad in weatherboarding, with a plain tile roof. It stands two storeys high on a rendered plinth. A jetty extends from the left-hand gable end. A multiple red and grey brick ridge stack is positioned towards the centre of the roof. The steeply pitched roof is gabled. The windows are a mix of 4-paned casements – two two-light windows to the left of the stack, one to the right, and a single-light window beneath the stack. There is no window on the right-hand end of the first floor. A boarded door is located under the stack. The interior has not been inspected. The building was formerly known as Forster’s Farm Cottages.
