Description

The monument to Thomas Watkins is a table tomb located about 2.5 metres north of the east end of the north aisle of the Church of St. Nicholas. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and is made of stone, resting on a rectangular stone base. The tomb features a moulded plinth and a corniced lid, with roll-moulded corners. There is a fielded inscription panel with concave corners and fielded side panels. The north side of the tomb commemorates Thomas Watkins, who died in 1733 at the age of 64.
