Description

Stilebridge Cottage is a house dating back to the 16th century, with additions made in the middle to late 20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame. The front of the ground floor is built with red and grey brick in a Flemish bond pattern, while the left-hand gable end is weatherboarded. The first floor is also weatherboarded. The roof is covered with plain tiles and is hipped at the left. A multiple brick stack is located in the rear slope of the roof, towards the left end.

The cottage features a continuous jetty that returns along the left gable end, supported by a dragon post. The windows are arranged irregularly, with two three-light wooden casements. A ribbed door with a central rectangular light is situated towards the right end. A gabled two-storey wing, constructed around 1960, projects to the front and rear and matches the materials of the main range, featuring a four-light first-floor gable end casement. A later 20th-century parallel rear range has also been built using similar materials. The interior has not been inspected.
