Description

Drakes Cork and Cask is a timber-framed building, likely from the 17th century, featuring a plastered front. The ground floor is underbuilt, while the second floor overhangs on a bressumer with four gables above. The building has a tiled roof and stands two storeys tall. It includes three modern casement windows and a modern pub front. There is a carriage entrance to the north, which has an open timbered roof. A plaque on the building notes that in 1557, seven people were burnt for their faith near this location.
