Description
The former oasthouse, now converted into houses, is located about 30 metres north-west of Brook Farmhouse. It dates from the early 20th century and features kilns constructed from brick in a Flemish bond, with the stowage area weatherboarded at the front. The building has plain tile roofs and a rectangular stowage area that includes four square kilns, three located at the rear and one at the left gable end. The ground floor of the stowage was originally open and supported by five posts. A black-painted wooden band runs halfway up the first floor of the stowage. There is a plain brick eaves band on the kilns. The stowage has a hipped roof, while the kilns have pyramidal roofs topped with cowls. A central gabled hoist hood, with weatherboarded sides, rises above the eaves and formerly had one door above the eaves and one below. The stowage features a regular four-window front, with two twelve-pane lights on each side of the loading bay, which used to have louvred sections resembling weatherboarding between them, positioned above the wooden band. Brook Farmhouse is not listed.
