Description
The ruins located about 6 metres west-south-west of Pimps Court are the remains of a house known as Pimpe's Court, which possibly dates from the late 14th century or early 15th century. Constructed from ragstone, the cell measures approximately 13 feet by 7 feet, with walls standing about 10 feet high. There is a moulded pointed-arched doorway on one gable end. The ruins are adjacent to a further stone section that is about 25 feet long and features a small re-set trefoiled stone window head. The historian Hasted, writing in 1798, described the ruins as those of an "ancient mansion" on this site.
