Description
Wichling Court is a house located on Lenham Road, with a rear range dating from the 15th century and a front range from the early 19th century, which has been altered in the 20th century. The rear range is timber-framed and clad in 20th-century brick on the right end, while the left end is tile-hung on the first floor. The front range is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, and the rear elevation is weatherboarded above the eaves of the rear range. The building features a plain tile roof and consists of two parallel ranges. The front range has two storeys and a hipped roof, with rear stacks on both the right and left sides. The front has a regular arrangement of three late 20th-century casement windows. There is a central 20th-century glazed door that is complemented by a decorative rectangular fanlight from the 19th century, supported by Doric pilasters and topped with a flat hood. The rear range also has two storeys, with lower eaves and a steeply pitched hipped roof, and includes a rear lean-to on the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
