Description

The garden walls to Higham Hall date from the 16th century and enclose the gardens to the north and south of the house. These walls are 10 feet high and constructed of brick in English Bond, featuring buttresses at regular intervals. The west wall of the south court originally had two beeboles, but part of this wall has been demolished to create a drive to the front door. Arched recesses are present in the east and west walls of the north court. Similar beeboles can be found at Scadbury Manor in Southfleet, Dartford District.
