Description
The Ship Inn is a 17th century building located on the north side of The Street in Cobham. It features painted brickwork, with the east gable end constructed of flint banded with brick. The roof is tiled and includes a central weatherboarded projection with a hipped roof and a small attic window. At the west end, there is a two-storey addition from the 19th century, while the east end has a modern flat-roofed rear extension. Despite these changes, the original overall shape of the building is still evident, along with a central chimney stack. The inn has sliding casement windows, some of which are quite old. The ground floor has been modernised internally, but original timber framing can still be seen in many areas of the first floor and attic.
