Description
Vine Cottage and Vine House, located on the north-west side of High Street, date back to the 17th century, with a later addition of one window bay at the south end from the late 18th or early 19th century. The building has two storeys, with the original section constructed of red brick featuring grey headers, while the added portion is entirely of red brick. The roof is tiled. There are three windows in total; the original part has a casement window, and the doorcase in this section features a moulded architrave surround with a flat hood supported by brackets, which dates from the later addition. The added section includes sash windows with intact glazing bars. The north-east wing, which forms an L-shape, contains offices and has one storey and an attic, featuring two windows and one dormer, and is also built of red brick with grey headers like the original portion.
