Description

Preston House is a house dating to circa 1800. It is constructed of brown brick with a plain tiled roof. The house comprises two parallel ranges. It is two storeys high, with segmental-headed two-storey recesses positioned to the left and right of the facade. A cornice and parapet top the roof, with stacks located to the left and right, and to the rear left and rear right. The first floor has three glazing bar sashes, while the ground floor has two. A central door consists of six panels, the top two being glazed, and it is sheltered by a porch with columns designed after the manner of the Temple of the Winds in Athens, and featuring a semi-circular fanlight.
