Description
This is a timber-framed building, likely dating to the late 16th century, which has been altered in the 18th century and later. Originally one house and then two shops, it is now numbers 24 and 24A King Street. The building is two storeys high with two windows. The exterior is roughcast with a cornice to the eaves, and the windows have lost their glazing bars. The first floor overhangs on a bressummer. A modern shop front is present at number 24, while number 24A has a mid-19th century shop front with two sections, featuring moulded pilasters with moulded caps and a plinth. The entrance door to number 24A consists of two bead-panelled flush panels above a square panel. Numbers 24 to 28 (even) form a group.
