Description
The ruin in the grounds of Kearnsey Abbey is an ornamental mock ruin created in the early 19th century when the grounds of the house were laid out. It incorporates some old stones, one of which is dated 1609. The ruin is built across the stream that feeds the lake and may have been located on the site of a mill. It features two pointed window openings made of chamfered stones, which are likely of medieval origin.
