Description
Church House is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Church Lane in Hougham. The front elevation is made of white brick, while the sides and rear are constructed from red brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features a hipped roof, with a hipped wing extending to the left. There are chimney stacks on both the left and right sides. The first floor has two sash windows, with the upper leaves still retaining their glazing bars, and there are two more sash windows on the ground floor, each with cambered gauged heads. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within a semi-circular headed surround. To the left, there is a red brick outshot that returns as a full hipped wing. This building is included for its group value.
