Description
Nos 5 to 9 on Guildcount Lane are a row of buildings from the 17th century that have undergone significant alterations. They feature a tiled roof with an eaves gutter. The first floor of No 5 is rendered and marked out, while Nos 7 and 9 have roughcast rendering. The lower walls of all the buildings are painted brick. No 7 retains a first-floor casement window with complete glazing bars, and similar earlier windows are present on the ground floor. Nos 7 and 9 now have leaded light windows within their existing openings. No 5 has one original dormer window with a flat roof and a four-panel door, which includes a central square light and a small window light to the left. Nos 7 and 9 both have flush panel doors with diamond-shaped leaded lights. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 11 (odd) and Nos 2 to 18 (even), along with No 32 Bowling Street and Nos 28 to 36 (even) Delf Street.
