Description
This barn, located about 10 metres south of Well House at St. Radegund's Abbey, dates back to the 16th century. It features a timber frame clad with concrete blocks, and the right side is finished with flint and rubble stone. The roof is covered with 20th-century pantiles and has a half-hipped design, with a hipped stry on the left. Inside, the barn consists of four bays with aisles, passing shores to the arcade posts, and a clasped purlin roof. It has been described by Rigold in Archaeologia Cantiana (1966) as late, but certainly predating the Dissolution.
