Description

Bruce House is a pair of houses from the 18th century, located on Beach Street. The two houses are occupied as one. Number 131 is two storeys high with attics and features a cement front. It has four very tall narrow windows and long and short quoins. There is an original curved shopfront in a fluted frame, with a window beside it that was presumably added in place of a door. Number 133 is three storeys tall, also cemented, and has a parapet. It features two large 19th-century bay windows on the first floor and two modern windows on the ground floor. The building is included for its group value, as it is part of a collection that includes Nos 129 to 137 (odd) and Nos 141 and 143.
