Description

Coppin House is an 18th-century entrance to what were formerly stables and a coach house; only the harness room and associated outbuildings now remain. The building is two storeys high and is currently pebble-dashed, with two dormers. It features large, stuccoed Ionic pilasters and an entablature, topped with a coat of arms and scrolled ornamentation above the doorway. The lower section of the pilasters has been removed to accommodate modern doors. A large window is located to the right of the gate, set within a reveal and topped with a pediment supported by consoles. The building forms a group with numbers 1 to 10 on Coppin Street.
