Description

Mill House is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The house has two storeys and a basement, with an attic space above. Features include a plinth, box cornice, and rendered rusticated quoins to the right side, terminating in a kneelered gable. There are two hipped dormers and chimney stacks located at the end left, rear right, and end right. The upper floor has three glazing bar sash windows; the ground floor has two sashes with cambered heads. A central door has six raised and fielded panels, a rectangular fanlight, and a flat corniced hood. A basement opening is located to the right, and a half-hipped single-storey extension with one glazing bar sash window extends to the left. The remains of the windmill stand approximately 30 metres to the west.
