Description
The stone barn at St. Radegund's Abbey Farm, located about 65 metres south of Well House, dates from the 13th century and 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and flint, topped with a 20th-century pantile roof. The barn features a half-hipped design with a central gabled two-storey porch that has quoins, a chamfered entrance arch, and a depressed inner arch. There is a window on the first floor with a later brick lintel. The left side of the barn has blocked lancet windows arranged in two tiers, with two above three, and an arched doorway to the left.
Inside, the barn has an 18th-century timber construction with five bays and aisles, supported by a queen post roof. The room above the entrance porch is accessed by a flight of stone stairs within the wall thickness; it was originally a living room with a fireplace. This barn may have served as the great Guesthouse of the Premonstratensian Abbey of St. Radegund.
