Description

This building is a barn or maltings located about 15 metres southeast of Dean Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in irregular English bond, with repairs made using yellow stock brick. The roof is plain tiled and features two storeys with a corbelled brick eaves cornice on a hipped roof. There is a hipped bonnet gable that includes a boarded door in the roof space. The first floor has four unglazed window openings and a boarded door, while the ground floor contains one blocked window opening and three doorways. The interior features stacks, partition walls, and a general layout that indicates it was used for maltings or grain drying.
