Description

The dwarf walls, piers, and lamps to the steps beneath the Officers' Barracks at Dover Castle were built around 1858. Made from ashlar and cast iron, the structure features a long flight of steps divided into two sections, with dwarf walls on either side. These walls end at the top with moulded plinths that support tall iron lamp standards. This arrangement creates the approach to the Officers' Barracks.
