Description

Nos 49 and 51 on New Street are a pair of houses built around 1830-1840. They are two stories tall and each has three windows. No 49 is constructed of brown brick, while No 51 is made of painted brick. Both houses feature parapets and slate roofs. Each house has two bay windows on the ground floor, with intact glazing bars. The doorways are round-headed and have semi-circular fanlights above them. Between the houses and the railings, there is an artificial stream known as the Delf.
