Description
Shelvin Grove is a 15th-century house located in Denton and Wootton. The building features a timber frame, with some parts exposed and plaster infill, while the main range is rendered. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high on a flint plinth. The house has a jettied section on dragon posts to the left, a hipped roof with a gablet to the left, and a cluster of stacks to the centre right. The jettied wing has ogee-bracing and includes two wooden casements on the first floor and one on the ground floor, along with an exposed frame of the original window opening on the left return. The main range has two wooden casements on each floor and a boarded door in the left wing. There is a small outshot to the right. Inside, the full frame is visible, featuring a large inglenook with triangular-headed brick recesses and moulded doorways.
