Description
Darenth Court House, built around 1835, is a two-storey building with attics, finished in stucco and topped with a slate roof. It features a pedimented gable that includes a tripartite semi-circular window and a deep cornice. The façade has three sash windows with intact glazing bars and a central doorcase flanked by pilasters, topped with a semi-circular decorated fanlight. There is a plinth at the base. Inside, the building contains a niche and a dado railing. Historical records, specifically Hasted's "History and Topographical Survey of Kent" from 1778 to 1799, refer to a "good old timbered farmhouse" that previously occupied this site before the current structure was built.
