Description

Lower Bean Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier L-shaped timber-framed building. The southwest front is faced with plaster and some roughcast, while the southeast front features weatherboarding. It has a modern tiled roof with one gabled dormer on the southwest elevation. The farmhouse mostly has sash windows with intact glazing bars, although there are some casement windows. Notably, the east window bay of the southwest front extends out on wooden brackets and is faced with roughcast, topped with a gable.
