Description

This is an early 19th century building comprising two properties, 44 and 46 Stour Street. It is constructed of brick and has three storeys, topped with a coping detail. The building features four original sash windows with intact glazing bars, each with a stone head and sill. The doorcases incorporate pilasters and vestigial hoods, and contain six-panelled doors. Number 44 has two sash windows and a more elaborate doorcase with reeded pilasters and paterae. A later 19th century single-story extension to number 44 contains two sash windows with only vertical glazing bars. Numbers 42A, 44 to 47 form a group.
