Description

This is a group of four 16th-century timber-framed houses located at 73 to 76 St Dunstan's Street. Originally listed as numbers 73 to 75 and part of the Rose & Crown Inn (number 76), the building has been re-assessed to include the entirety of number 76. The houses are now rendered with cement, tiles, or plaster, obscuring the original timber frame. They are three stories high, and have four gables. The ground floor has been rebuilt, but retains the overhang of the second floor. Each house has one window per floor, featuring sash windows or modern replacements, along with modern shopfronts. A curved window is present on the first floor of number 74. The gable of number 75 has an imitation timber-framed appearance. Numbers 67 to 81 form a group.
