Description

Priory End Cottage, known as The Studio, was built in 1861 and designed by the architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. This asymmetrical house has two storeys and is constructed of red brick featuring grey brick diaper patterns, along with stone window dressings. The roof is slate and has a gable. The building includes five mullioned windows, a belvedere topped with a spire and weathervane, and a chimneystack marked with the initials 'P D P 1861'. The doorcases are simple in design. This cottage originally served as the servants' wing to Lee Priory.
