Description
St Radigund Hall is a 15th-century timber-framed house of Wealden type, featuring projecting wings and a recessed center. The building has two storeys and an attic, with the ground floor currently stuccoed and the upper floor tile-hung. It has a tiled roof that includes three dormers. The first floor of the two wings overhangs on brackets, and the eaves are supported by curved braces in the center portion. There are four windows in total: one original wooden mullioned window on the ground floor of the west wing, another blocked window in the center of the recess on the first floor (which has been replaced by a sash window), and the remaining windows are modern sashes. The building also features two original doors with peep-holes, one of which has spandrels carved with quatrefoils. The rear wing is constructed of brick (partly plastered) with visible curved braces, and it has sash and sliding sash windows. A restored four-centred door with plain spandrels is also present. Inside, the hall boasts a fine roof with crown posts and brackets, along with curved braces.
