Description
This is an 18th-century timber-framed building, originally constructed in an earlier period. The front facade was refaced with painted brick, notable for its first floor which projects outward. The building is three storeys high with a hipped tiled roof featuring a wide modillion cornice and two dormers. Stringcourses run along the facade, and two rainwater heads are present. The second floor retains two double-hung sash windows with original glazing bars. The first floor has restored windows. Later shopfronts occupy the ground floor. The building forms a group with numbers 16 to 18 on Church Street, near St Paul's.
