Description

A barn, dating primarily from the 17th century, with later 19th-century floors and roof structure. It is an aisled timber-framed barn of three bays, with lias to the west, faced with weatherboarding and set upon a brick plinth. The roof is half-hipped and clad in corrugated iron. A central cart entrance is hipped. The barn features jowled posts, passing braces to the aisles, and curved wind braces to the wall plate. The main frame is in oak, while the rafters and collar purlins are in 19th-century softwood. A 19th-century floor was inserted on both sides of the cart entrance. The barn is notable as part of a well-preserved farm group.
