Description

1 King Street is an early 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall and is finished in stucco. It features an old tiled roof with two hipped dormers. The front has three sash windows, all with intact glazing bars and wooden cills. On the ground floor, there are two simple wooden doorcases, each with an elongated rectangular fanlight above a flush panelled door. This building, along with No 2 and Nos 7 to 9 (consecutive) at The Friars, forms a group of buildings of architectural significance.
