Description

White Cottage is a two-storey and attic L-shaped building dated 1731. It is located on the south-east side of Nargate Street, Littlebourne. The original construction was of red brick with grey headers, but the front elevation was re-faced in the mid-19th century with cement rendering. It has a tiled roof. The front features two sash windows with vertical glazing bars, set within moulded architraves. The gables have horizontal sliding sashes with grotesque corbel heads above. A central doorcase features a tall rectangular fanlight. A significant number of original glazing bars remain intact on the rear of the building.
