Description
Yew Tree Cottage is an L-shaped building from the late 17th century that was altered in 1852. It has one storey and attics, with the south-east elevation made of red brick. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles, featuring a 17th-century chimneystack. There is one dormer and a double casement window with a cambered head lining. A 18th-century gabled wooden porch adds to the entrance. The rear elevation is faced with tarred weatherboarding, while the north-east and north-west elevations are constructed of flint with red brick dressings, including a dated brick on the north-east elevation. Inside, the cottage features an inglenook fireplace with a bread oven and a 17th-century beamed ceiling in the scullery.
