Description

A terrace of six buildings, numbered 42 to 48 Wincheap, was built in 1810. The buildings are two storeys high and constructed of red brick, although number 42 has a stuccoed facade. They have a hipped tiled roof with four brick stacks and four hipped dormers. Each building features one sash window set within a moulded architrave. Glazing bars remain intact only in numbers 46 and 48. Early 19th-century doorcases with moulded architraves are present. Number 42 has an early 19th-century shop front. The rear elevation is tile-hung. Buildings 42 to 64 (even) are grouped together.
