Description

The Library to Christchurch Cathedral is a historic building that was formerly the dormitory for Christchurch Monastery, which is why it is listed as grade I. The dormitory was constructed before 1093, and in 1953, a modern library was built over part of it. The building has three storeys; the ground and second floors are made of stone, while the first floor features flint, brick, and masonry. The windows are designed with mullions and leaded lights, with round-headed windows on the first floor. There are two canted bays on both the first and second floors.
