Description
No 2 Monastery Street is a timber-framed building that was refaced in the 18th century. It has two storeys, with the ground floor made of red brick and the first floor oversailing and hung with tiles. The entire west front is faced with red mathematical tiles, and it features a tiled roof with a half-hipped gable that contains an attic window. There are five sash windows with intact glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes No 1, the wall adjoining No 1 to the right, a water pump opposite No 1, Nos 4 to 18 (even), St Augustine's College, Hall, Chapel, The Cemetery Gateway, The Great Gateway, and the wall in front of St Augustine's.
